The fourth edition of Propagate!2025 was all about green and sustainable propagation. Together with more than 120 participants, we kicked off the first day with an inspiring program where both established experts and a new generation of young speakers took the stage.
In his keynote, Tom Groot (Koppert) highlighted the importance of starting biocontrol early in propagation: “The earlier you begin, the healthier the plant will grow.” Young innovators such as Paula Rico (Hoogendoorn Growth Management), Lukas Sigg (Nordic Energy Consulting), and Fleur Bruinen (Little Spider) added fresh perspectives on energy, climate strategies, and natural biocontrol. Their stories showed how green innovation and young talent are shaping the future of the sector.
The evening ended with a joint walk-in dinner, creating a relaxed atmosphere to share experiences, strengthen relationships, and spark new collaborations.
Day 2 focused on practice. During the Propagate Academy, Nathalie Zwinkels (Beekenkamp Plants) and Imri Verrijp (Koppert) brought sustainable solutions directly into growers’ hands. From recognizing insects and spotting early pest damage to applying biocontrol in daily practice—participants left with concrete knowledge and tools to strengthen their IPM programs and further reduce chemical inputs.
With its mix of inspiration, networking, and practical tools, Propagate!2025 once again proved its unique value as a platform where the future of propagation takes shape: green, sustainable, and ready for tomorrow.
